The Season Of Rain

You know when monsoon has come

When the sky turns plum.

Dark clouds start to gather

And you can hear the pitter-patter

of raindrops hitting the ground

All the plants have almost drowned

You know the monsoon is here.

When the rain becomes severe

mist may cover the area.

Some plants may thrive like the plumeria

If you go out, remember to carry an umbrella

Or you can stay inside and read a novella.

You can see the lightning and the hear the thunder

Or stay in bed for slumber

Finally the storm departs and leaves us anew

The sun steps out amidst skies of blue.
